Kelly Ryan starts as new brewer at the Fork

Ryan is a talented and highly regarded brewer with experience working around New Zealand and the United Kingdom. His beers and ciders have won multiple awards at major beer shows. Barrel Aged Dark Vader 2013 - the Force is strong with this one

The Fork & Brewer will launch possibly our most interesting and extreme beer on Wednesday 5 June from 5pm. Dark Vader Barrel Aged Imperial Dark Ale 2013 is a carefully blended combination of two strong, dark ales – the Dark Vader Imperial Dark Ale (8.4%) which has been aging in the American oak wine barrel at the top of the stairs for almost a year and fresh Skywalker Imperial Stout (8.4%). The Fork welcomes Kelly Ryan as our new brewer

The Fork & Brewer is delighted to announce that Kelly Ryan will be joining us in early June as our new brewer. Despite his young age, Kelly has a distinguished brewing history with stints at Tui/DB, Fyne Ales (UK), Thornbridge (UK), Epic Brewing Company and the Good George brewpub. Brewer Lester Dunn will be leaving shortly for new adventures but he will be staying on for a month or so to help Kelly get accustomed to the brewery.
